A WIP of the colored version of the Italian Baroque portion of the art history fanart series I’m doing for Hetalia. I’ve got a large portion of the background and their face and bodies done. I’m not entirely done with the skin just because I haven’t taken into account reflecting colors. I’m mostly just getting the shadows right.And the skin tones. I didn’t want both of them to have the same skin color so I made Romano slightly more fair skinned, and Spain more olive complected I got a bit timid with the marker, but I plan to make the shadows very heavy, like Caravaggio’s work. More to come later. Also I started a sketch of Spain’s Velazquez work, I’ll post it as I get it more done.
